What's in a typical kit

• Respirator mask — half-face or full-face silicone Maxiguard.
• Filter cartridges — commonly two ABEK-P3 cartridges or two P3 particulate, matched to the intended use.
• Storage bag or case — keeps the mask clean between uses and prevents contaminants entering the intake.
• Cleaning wipes or instructions — some kits include respirator cleaning consumables.

Fit testing still required

Buying a kit does not eliminate the AS/NZS 1715 fit-test requirement — each worker must still be fit-tested on the specific mask model before occupational use. Plan for fit-testing in your rollout timeline.
