Choosing the right lens tint

• Clear — indoor, low-light, or variable conditions. The default choice for most trades.
• Smoke / grey — bright outdoor work. Reduces glare without shifting colour perception.
• Amber / yellow — low-light and overcast conditions. Enhances contrast indoors or at dawn/dusk.
• Mirror — very bright outdoor environments. Reflects additional glare on top of a tinted base lens.
• Polarised — water, snow, and vehicle-reflected glare. Worth the premium if your crew drives between jobs.

Frequently asked questions

Are all your safety glasses AS/NZS certified?

Yes. Every safety eyewear product we list is certified to AS/NZS 1337.1 at minimum. Certification is shown on the product page and printed on the frame or lens.

Do you stock prescription-compatible safety glasses?

Over-prescription (OTG) frames and prescription inserts are available in the safety glasses and bi-focal ranges. For fully custom prescription safety eyewear, request a quote and we'll coordinate with the manufacturer.

What's the difference between safety glasses and goggles?

Safety glasses protect against impact from the front. Goggles form a seal around the eye socket, so they also protect against dust, liquid splash, and airborne particles from any angle. Use goggles whenever the hazard includes loose particles or liquid spray.

How do I stop my lenses fogging up?

Choose a lens with a factory anti-fog coating (look for "AF" in the product code), or treat standard lenses with anti-fog spray/sachets. Sealed goggles with indirect venting also help reduce internal fogging in hot and humid conditions.
