Earplug Dispenser (Earplugs Not Included) – Holds 300 Earplugs
Hearing protection accessories
Replacement parts, dispensers, and storage accessories that keep hearing-protection programs running. The stuff that makes the difference between a program that works through a full year and one that degrades as cushions harden and dispensers empty.
Earmuff replacement parts
- Replacement cushions — foam and gel cushions match most common earmuff models. Swap at 6-month intervals or when cracked, hardened, or contaminated. Hygiene kits (cushion + foam insert) are typically packaged together.
- Replacement foam inserts — the foam that sits inside the cup against the ear. Replace whenever cushions are replaced.
- Helmet-mount adaptors — slot adaptors that convert earmuffs between brands of hard hats. Check compatibility before ordering.
- Replacement headbands / band-adjustment parts — available for some models; in many cases a full earmuff replacement is more economical.
Earplug accessories
- Plug dispensers — wall-mounted dispensers for disposable plugs at entry to noise zones. Keeps plugs clean and discourages re-wearing of used plugs.
- Dispenser refill packs — 500 or 1000-pair boxes. Significantly cheaper per pair than individual packaging for high-volume sites.
- Replacement silicone tips — for banded earplug systems.
- Neck cords / lanyards — retrofit a cord to uncorded plugs (take care around rotating equipment).
- Carry cases — keep reusable plugs clean between uses; typically a small hinged-lid case that clips to a belt or lanyard.
Signage and program materials
"Hearing Protection Required" signs are available in the site safety range. Noise-zone identification should be at every entry point where LAeq,8h exceeds 85 dB. Ongoing worker training materials (insertion technique posters, toolbox-talk sheets) are supplied on request for trade accounts.
Hygiene covers
Disposable cushion covers slip over earmuff cushions in high-humidity, shared-use, or unhygienic environments. Single-use: prevents cross-contamination when earmuffs are shared between workers (visitor issue, training sessions, pooled site PPE).
Standards & compliance
Replacement cushions and tips do not change the SLC80 rating provided they're the manufacturer-specified replacement matching the original earmuff model. Using third-party or incompatible replacements can void the attenuation certification.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use third-party replacement cushions?
Only if certified by the earmuff manufacturer as compatible. Generic replacements often fit physically but don't maintain the SLC80 rating, because cushion density, thickness, and sealing geometry all affect attenuation. Always specify the OEM replacement for the specific earmuff model.
Do dispensers save money?
Yes — for sites issuing more than ~50 pairs per day, refill packs in dispensers are 30–50% cheaper per pair than individually-packaged plugs, and compliance is higher because clean plugs are available at point of need.
What should be in an earmuff hygiene kit?
Fresh cushions (2) and fresh foam inserts (2). Some kits include alcohol-free cleaning wipes for the cups. Enough for one complete swap-out of a single earmuff.
