Preferred by high-sweat-rate workers, hydration-pack users, and any workforce that fills a 2 L bladder at shift start rather than refilling a smaller bottle multiple times.

When to choose 80 g sachets

• Hydration-pack bladders (2 L / Camelbak-style) — one sachet fills the pack for most of a shift.
• Heavy-sweat-rate roles — miners, steel erectors, civil-construction labourers who drink 2 L+ per morning.
• Extended-shift work — 12-hour FIFO, emergency response, and night-shift outdoor roles where worker can't easily refill mid-shift.

Mixing and dispensing

Add one 80 g sachet to 2 L of water, shake or stir until fully dissolved (about 30 seconds). Cold water dissolves slightly slower than room-temperature; stir with a spoon or shake the bladder vigorously. Once mixed, the drink is shelf-stable for one shift at ambient or up to 24 hours refrigerated.

Distribution planning

For high-sweat workers, 1–2 × 80 g sachets per shift typically covers hydration needs, paired with free water alongside. For a 10-worker mining or civil crew in summer, expect 15–20 sachets per shift.

When not to choose 80 g

• Light-duty or indoor work — individual issue per-bottle (25 g sachets) is more practical; 80 g is overkill.

Frequently asked questions

Is 80 g per 2 L the same concentration as 25 g per 600 mL?

Slightly different — 80 g/2 L is marginally more concentrated. Both are within the recommended electrolyte-replacement range for occupational heat-stress work. Taste is similar across formats.

Can I split an 80 g sachet?

Possible but not ideal — the opened sachet absorbs moisture rapidly and clumps. For smaller mixes, 25 g sachets are purpose-sized.

Do hydration-pack bladders need special cleaning?

Yes — rinse daily with warm water; deep-clean weekly with bladder cleaning tablets or dilute bicarb-and-vinegar solution. Electrolyte residue supports microbial growth if bladders aren't washed between uses.
